Okay, I've got a list of things to buy for my Ion. These are items bought at my local store, so if you have any suggestions, tell me...

Trinity Roller Trigger
Egg II
Drop Forward
360 degree QEV
J&J Ceramic (just need a cheap barrel)
Grey body kit to go with my jersey+pants

What else should I get? Is there anything I listed that I shouldn't get?

You pretty much hit the nail on the head with the upgrades. Those are the parts I would upgrade. Would they be the same parts, no cause I have a different likeings than you.

About the trinity roller trigger..This weekend I will finally work on my proto type trigger for ions. It should be sweet so expect to see it come out in a few months since it is a 2 man operation making the triggers.

Can I suggest a foehn body? Its metal, and I think they got a silver/platinum color, and its got the BOB. And, it's not plastic. Trinity triggers dont feel to great IMO compared to many others, try more towards the VP scythe or killercarbon. (killercarbon.com). JJ barrel is good, so your fine there.
New bolt? QEV gives more kick on the ion, I've noticed it kicking a bit more on mine, so maybe a lucky LBM bolt(if your clumsy, dropping it can break it, so aluminum is another choice) to re-reduce it.

Just an idea, go to pbn, and buy an o-ring rebuild kit for the ion, because the faster cycling that the qev provides wears out your o-rings faster(just a sugestion if you didnt know).

Hope that helps.

good idea. The stock wont do well with an egg, so get like a CCM no pro(the lo-rise one), or a q-lock. Instead of an eggII, get a used reloader b or halo b for like $70. THe thing is with qlocks though, is that a halo wont go all the way down, theres like 1/4 an inch between the top of the feedneck and the highest part of the halo neck.

Yep, I already got a new feed neck. And it's really hard to find used gear around here, because nobody owns any good stuff. I've never seen an electric hopper other than my own around here. So let's see... I'll get the qev, barrel, new bolt, new trigger (I'll look at different ones), and a new loader. I might go for a halo if I have the money. Well thanks alot guys, you're a lot of help.

cp= overrated. There are much better regs in the same price range.

sidewinder- $75
evolve pi- $65
Detonators can compete and there $50 from actionvillage

Okay, what about the CP or the Strange triggers? They cost the same at Action Village. They also have Halos for $100.

With triggers there really isnt a "better" trigger, its which one do you like the feel of more.

dont get a cp. I just sold mine. Must have been the worst trigger for the ion in the world. On other guns theyre awesome. But for the ion, just....NO. They are bouncy as hell. I used to shoot 1 case a day of rec from 11am-4:45pm. Now it lasts me only till 2:30.

Like I said, VP SCythe or killercarbon. They are really nice triggers, especially the scythe, its perfectly made(read the descirption on violentproducts.com), so you can consistently shoot. And they are really popular. Killercarbon isnt a big name yet for Ions, but they have good products. I had the chance to play with an ion with one of those triggers. And like I said many times, they are nice.

ANS and NDZ I've heard are good too.

Let's see... Action Village has-

NDZ Blade Trigger
NDZ Saw Trigger
NDZ S-Treme Trigger
NDZ Wave Trigger (Aluminum or Composit)
Shocktech Roller Bearing Trigger

All of them are around the same price, too. I don't really like the look of the "S" triggers though.
