Taken straight off my thread on pbn, but I really dont know if this belongs in a specific area on this forum.
I just got mine in today. The NDZ breech really doesnt need a review, since it is just a breech, not a specific performance enhancing part, but because of my boredom, I had to do something.
First off, let me say, thanks to ndz for another great product. The ndz breech uses cocker threaded barrels, but still uses impulse/ion/shocker threaded feednecks! newdesignz.com I ordered the breech from punisherspb.com though.
Mine came in a gloss(low glossiness, not as shiny as like a gloss blue dm4) blue color(that's what I ordered). The breech is very well made, and looks nice with the gun. KILA DETENTS WILL NOT WORK WITH THIS! The magnets fit, but the ndz breech has a circular detent slot, not the horizontal one. So this means your kila's will not work. Not to worry, they come with some detents of their own. So finally, after I stopped adoring my breech, I tried installing it. I took the detents out of the little baggy that it came in. First problem, the 2 springs were bound together. After 10 minutes of try to take them apart(hard to unbind them when they are tiny and your fingers are big). So I finally get to installing the detents. The NDZ detents keep falling out, so you might want to take a bit of tape, and just put tape over the detent hole, so they wont keep getting blown out. The eye board is a bit wobbly and loose when put back in compared to the stock breech, but it's fine. No worries. So I finally put the battery in, checked to see if the detents worked with the clear duct tape on, and they worked beautifully. Actually, they worked better than my kila's, because they are soooo soft on brittle paint(it was 30* outside and I was using chronic, which earlier with my stock I was breaking them like crazy with the kila's.).
Not that this is anything useful, but my Ion has:
CCM feedneck
NDZ Ion breech
NDZ spring detents
VP Scythe trigger
360 QEV(I have to still install it).
Empire 4 pc barrel kit
Why should you get this?
-Cocker threaded
-Still uses Imp/Ion/Shocker thread feednecks
-I got mine because I had stripped the breech, and needed a new barrel too.
-Only $58 for the breech and detents.
-A stock breech costs about $50
-It doesnt have any ugly cage thign sticking out like the Check It breech.
-Only the top part extends a bit more than the shell, but doesnt stick out farther past the whole shell(check pics to see what I mean)
PICS-
(off ndz site)

I give it a 10/10, I love using cocker threads on my Ion finally.
If someone has even written a review on this, mods can lock/delete this. |
